During this period, short-loop train services were operated between Challaghatta and ITPL stations on the Purple Line to mitigate the inconvenience to passengers

Bengaluru, 29 Sept
Metro
services on the Purple Line were disrupted for over half an hour on Sunday
morning, leaving commuters stranded during peak hours. According to the
Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a technical fault at
Whitefield (Kadugodi) Metro Station caused the suspension of services between
Whitefield and ITPL (Pattandura Agrahara) from 8.25am to 8.55am.
During this
period, short-loop train services were operated between Challaghatta and ITPL
stations on the Purple Line to mitigate the inconvenience to passengers. BMRCL
confirmed that full services were restored at 8.55am and metro traffic on the
entire Purple Line returned to normal. However, services on the Green Line
remained unaffected, running as per the regular schedule.
Preethi
Nair, a resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, told Salar News, "I was on my
way to Whitefield for an emergency and had no idea when the trains would start
running again. It was frustrating to see no clear communication at the station.
I had to get down four stops earlier and find another way to reach my
destination."
Another
commuter, Manjunath R, a resident of Whitefield, said, "My family and I
were stuck at Whitefield for nearly 30 minutes. We had to find an alternate
route to reach the nearest metro station where trains were still running. Our
family holiday was completely ruined because of this inconvenience. I hope
BMRCL improves communication during such disruptions."
Meanwhile,
BMRCL announced that commercial services on the extended Green Line will begin
soon. -Salar News
