BENGALURU, 30 JUNE

The Karnataka Defence Forum (Karave) (KDF) has called for a massive Statewide protest on Monday to demand compulsory employment reservations for Kannadigas in the private sector. The protest, scheduled from 11 am to 4 pm, will take place at Freedom Park in Bengaluru.

KDF protest led by TA Narayana Gowda said the protest aims to implement the recommendations of the Sarojini Mahishi Report, which advocates for employment reservations for Kannadigas in the private sector. The growing influx of migrants from other States into the City has reportedly led to fewer job opportunities for Kannadigas.

Gowda noted that the KDF is prepared for a large-scale movement. He stated, "Simultaneous demonstrations will be observed in all districts across the State. KDF is determined to fight for comprehensive legislation to protect employment for Kannadigas. We must act now to secure our rights and ensure fair employment opportunities for the local population.
