BENGALURU, 23 MAY
Telugu actors Hema and Ashi Roy
were allegedly among the 86 people who
tested positive for consumption of drugs at a rave party titled "Vasu's
Birthday: Sunset to Sunrise," at a farmhouse in Singena Agrahara near
Electronics City. The police are yet to make any arrests, said Deputy
Superintendent of Police, Anekal subdivision, Mohan Kumar BS.
He told reporters, “We have not
arrested any actress. We have collected 30 urine samples from those present at
the party.”
The rave party, organised by KL
Vasu, was busted by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) near Electronics City and
most of those who attended the event were from outside the State.
City Police Commissioner B
Dayananda on Tuesday said, “On the night of 19 May, acting on a tip-off, CCB
raided a farmhouse at Electronics City. Around 100 people were at the event
where drugs and narcotic substances were found."
It is learnt that more than 50 men
and close to 30 women tested positive for drug consumption. The special wing of
CCB police sleuths is preparing to send notices to these individuals and call
them for questioning.
Hema had released a video claiming
that she was in Hyderabad when the party was on. However, Dayananda later
confirmed her presence at the party and added that she had made the video at
the rave. -Salar News
