The City police has solved five different theft cases with
the arrest of 14 people on Tuesday.
Mahadevapura police apprehended a suspect for stealing Rs.
1.4 lakh in cash and 78 grams of gold jewellery on 15 May.
The police investigation led them to a suspect near KR
Puram, Tin Factory, who confessed to the crime. The stolen valuables estimated
to be Rs. 4.3 lakh, were recovered from his possession.
Upparpet Police successfully apprehended two individuals
involved in a mobile phone theft ring. Police held two more individuals on 7
May in Bagalur. A total of 176 stolen mobile phones of various brands, worth
Rs. 22.4 lakh and a Toyota Etios car used in the crime were recovered on 7 May.
In a separate operation, Kumaraswamy Layout Police station,
apprehended an interstate thief targeting students with laptops. Using the CCTV
footage, police identified and held the suspect residing in a PG near
Cottonpet. A total of 25 laptops were recovered during the investigation on 9
May.
In another operation, Chandra layout Police Station
apprehended four individuals involved in a mobile phone snatching racket.
Through the complainant's 'Find My Device' application and interrogation of the
suspect, police were able to nab four more accomplices, seizing 32 stolen
phones worth of Rs. 6.31 lakh. -Salar News
