2 people claim the other is dead, file Form 7 against each other

Election Commission data shows the two applications were filed a day apart in June.

Two people in Bagalkot district filed Form 7 applications against each other, claiming that the other person was dead. 


According to data from the Election Commission, one Mallikarjun Badavadagi filed a Form 7 on 11 June claiming that Virama Badavadagi was dead and should be removed from the voter rolls. A day later, Virama filed a Form 7 application claiming that Mallikarjun was dead. 


Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair claimed that 334 such cases exist in which two people filed Form 7 objections against each other.
