The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will conduct a three-day aerial display in Mysuru from 18 to 20 October as part of the Dasara festivities, the Chief Minister’s Office said on Monday.

The Indian Defence Forces will participate in the Mysuru Dasara celebrations for the first time, with tableaux representing the three wings of the armed forces also set to feature in the festivities, showcasing their valour, service and spirit.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed the Surya Kiran team’s participation in a letter to Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, saying the display would add to the grandeur of Dasara and allow visitors to witness the professionalism, skill and precision of the armed forces.

However, the IAF’s Sarang Helicopter Display Team, which performed at Dasara in 2025, will not participate this year due to prior approved commitments.

Mysuru Dasara, celebrated as the state’s ‘Nada Habba’, will be held from 11 to 21 October.
