Mysuru, 2 August

The Mandya district police have registered an FIR against a woman from Maddur for allegedly posting a video on social media containing obscene and abusive remarks against Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in connection with the ongoing Cauvery water issue.

According to the police, the woman, identified as Jyothi, uploaded a video on Facebook in which she allegedly used foul and derogatory language against the Chief Minister while expressing her views on the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

The video quickly went viral on social media, prompting the police to trace the account and identify the woman through her Facebook profile.

Based on the video, Mandya Cyber Crime Police Station registered a case against Jyothi.
