Karnataka BJP protests 'egg-attack' on MLA BP Harish
Congress and BJP remain at loggerheads over the NEET question paper leak issue, which sparked the initial protests.

The Karnataka BJP on Thursday staged a protest at the Vidhana Soudha campus here against the alleged 'egg-attack' on party MLA B P Harish during a protest on July 22 near the Congress office.
Holding placards and posters, party legislators and office bearers gathered near the Mahatma Gandhi statue and raised slogans condemning the hooliganism.
Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, called it a "rowdy government", which is setting a new precedence of attacking a sitting MLA with an egg.
"This egg attack on the MLA of a national party happened on the directions of a rowdy government. This is the culture Congress has introduced in the state. We will take this to the people of the state," Narayanaswamy charged.
Senior BJP functionaries such as the party president B Y Vijayendra, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R Ashoka, MLAs, MLCs former ministers, MPs and MLAs took part in the agitation.
During a protest near the Congress state headquarters on Queen's Road here against the Congress leaders' agitation near BJP headquarters office in the city, some people allegedly threw eggs on MLA Harish.
Congress and the BJP are at loggerheads on the issue of the NEET question paper leak.
