3 scribes honoured by Karnataka Women Journalists' Association
Utthara Kumari B, Tanuja Nayak and Bhuvaneshwari Kamble were honoured for their contributions to journalism, literature and marginalised communities.

The Karnataka Women Journalists' Association honoured three accomplished women journalists and social contributors at its annual Award Presentation Ceremony held at the Bengaluru Press Club on Sunday.
The awardees were Utthara Kumari B, a journalist with four decades of experience who retired as Associate Editor of The New Indian Express; Tanuja Nayak, senior sub-editor with Samyukta Karnataka, recognised for her contributions to journalism and literature; and Bhuvaneshwari Kamble, a social activist, researcher and writer honoured for her work towards the empowerment of migrant women and marginalised communities.
The awards were presented by Dr R Sunandamma, president of the Karnataka Women Writers' Association. Ayesha Khanum, chairperson of the Karnataka Media Academy, attended as the chief guest, while Shivananda Tagadur, president of the Karnataka Working Journalists' Association, was the guest of honour.
The programme was presided over by R Sridhar, president of the Bengaluru Press Club.
