After
assuming office on Wednesday, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the
position he holds is more than a Constitutional office. It is a “sacred trust
placed in me by the people”.
Shivakumar vowed to build a compassionate, equitable and prosperous Karnataka.
"A
Karnataka that our future generations will inherit with pride and carry forward
to even greater heights," he said. "We must harness the power of new
ideas, technology and collective effort to build a stronger, more prosperous
and more inclusive future."
“In
today's rapidly changing era of technology, we must take our proud Karnataka to
the pinnacle of development with new ideas. On this path of all-round progress,
the participation of farmers, labourers, women, students, youth, and every
citizen is crucial for us,” he stated on X. "Of the people, by the people,
for the people.”
