Congress high command won’t intervene, Karnataka CM will continue: HM
Siddaramaiah clarified to the Assembly that all Congress MLAs are eligible to become CM if they have the high command’s permission.

Stating
that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will continue in office as long as he enjoys
the confidence of the high command, Home Minister G Parameshwara on Monday
said Siddaramaiah will continue in office till the Assembly’s term is over.
Speaking
to reporters during his visit to Mysuru, the Home Minister said that there is
no confusion regarding the change of leadership in Karnataka.
Siddaramaiah
also gave a clarification in the Assembly that all Congress MLAs are eligible
to become Chief Minister if they have the high command’s permission.
The home
minister also clarified that the by-poll results will not have any impact on
the party. “People will support Congress candidates in Davangere South andBagalkote by-polls. The Congress government has a clean image,” he said.
He also
expressed his displeasure with vindictive politics, provocative speech, and
personal targeting.
On the black marketing of LPG cylinders, he clarified that there is no disruption in the
supply of domestic LPG.
“There is no provision for the police to book suo moto cases regarding black marketing of LPG.
However, the police can take action as per the recommendations of food and civil supplies officials. LPG distributors must strictly adhere to government guidelines. Food Department officials have been directed to conduct stock inspection at distribution points. Strict action would be taken against black marketing of LPG.
Essential services like anganwadis, schools, hospitals and government hostels must be prioritised in LPG distribution,” he added.
