Mysuru, 29 March


Police arrested a Mysuru man on Sunday for allegedly sending hoax bomb threats to schools, courts, and government offices across India.


The suspect, Srinivas, was apprehended at his home in Brindavan Extension following a joint operation by local VV Puram police and Delhi police.


He had allegedly sent multiple threat emails over the past month, warning of explosions and causing widespread alarm, causing authorities to take notice and launch an operation.


“It was found that the messages were being sent from Mysuru. A Delhi Police team conducted a surprise raid and apprehended the accused,” sources said. During the raid, police seized several SIM cards and a laptop allegedly used to send the hoax bomb threats messages.


The accused is being taken to Delhi for further questioning and investigation.
