Six cows poisoned to death in Karnataka
Hanur taluk Tahasildar Chaithra said that samples from the cows were sent to the laboratory after post-mortem.

Six cows were poisoned to death by
miscreants when they went to graze nearby forest areas at Mamaradoddi in Hanur taluk of
Chamarajanagar district on Thursday. Cattles belong to Thangavelu of the
village.
As usual, Thangavelu took the cows to graze in nearby forest areas. Few hours of grazing in the forest areas, his cows were found dead after wailing in an open field near the
village.
A similar case of poisoning another five
cattles to death by miscreants was reported on Wednesday in neighbouring
Shettally village after they went to graze in the forest.
Following increasing incidents, a team of
revenue department officers and animal husbandry veterinary sciences visited
Mamaradoddi village, inspected the spot, collected the samples and sent them to
the laboratory after conducting the post-mortem of the animals.
Hanur taluk Tahasildar Chaithra told reporters that samples were sent to the
laboratory after conducting the post-mortem of the animals.
Taluk administration will initiate stern action against the culprits involved in poisoning cows to death belonging to farmers.
