A video showing a senior police officer attempting to kick a motorcyclist while managing traffic for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Suttur, near Mysuru, went viral on social media on Sunday.

The incident occurred as the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was returning after attending a festival event that drew thousands of people, triggering massive traffic congestion on narrow roads.

Mysuru Superintendent of Police Mallikarjuna Baladandi stepped onto the road to help clear a path for the Chief Minister’s convoy. During the operation, he lost his temper when a biker allegedly tried to cut the queue and was seen attempting to kick him. The moment was captured by bystanders and quickly circulated online.

Siddaramaiah had inaugurated an agricultural seminar at the fair around 1.30pm and left soon after to attend the funeral of his friend, Narsegowda. Police faced difficulty managing the crowd and traffic, with long queues stretching for several kilometres locally.
