The 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge of Chikkaballapur, Justice Kantharaju, has handed Life Imprisonment to an accused who raped his own mother in 4 August, 2024, at Chinnahalli village in Gudibande taluk of Chikkaballapur district.  Ashoka allegedly dragged his 60-year-old mother Ramakka to a nearby garbage heap near their house and raped her.  

On the night of the incident, Ramakka was sleeping outside the house while her husband Krishnappa was sleeping inside, during which time Ashoka who came in an inebriated condition began a quarrel with the parents.

 He hit his father Krishnappa and later dragged mother Ramakka to a distance near the garbage heap, where he assaulted her and subsequently raped her. 

 The case came up before the 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge who after hearing to both the parties found Ashoka guilt of raping his mother and sentenced him to life imprisonment besides a fine of Rs. 25,000. Salar News
