JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy said there will be no Chief
Minister change as is being speculated, because it is not easy for the Congress
party to replace Siddaramaiah.
Siddaramaiah was earlier with the JD(S), the Union Minister
noted. The JD(S) knows what Siddaramaiah is capable of.
"There will be no revolution in my opinion,"
Kumaraswamy said in response to a question. “He (Siddaramaiah) was with us
earlier, others don't know what he is. As he was with us earlier, we know what
he is capable of doing."
"It is not easy for Congress to remove him. What
discussions have happened between them (within the Congress), we have nothing
to do with it," he added.
Kumaraswamy seemingly mocked the prospect of Deputy Chief
Minister DK Shivakumar taking over as CM, saying the Irrigation Minister asks
God everyday to become Chief Minister.
"It is between him and god," Kumaraswamy remarked.
There have been speculations about a Chief Minister change
in the State when the Congress government reaches the halfway mark of its
five-year term (20 November), being referred to by some as "November
revolution".
On the Greater Mysuru plan, Kumaraswamy said both
Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar are competing over the Greater Mysuru and Greater
Bengaluru Authority. Nothing will come out of it, he predicted.
To a question, on what the JD(S)’s role will be if there is a political revolution, Kumaraswamy said “we are not concerned with what they (Congress) will do.”
