Lokayukta officials on Tuesday launched simultaneous raids across
Karnataka targeting 12 government personnel, including a surveyor from the
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), in connection with
allegations of disproportionate assets.
The coordinated operations commenced in the early morning
hours at various locations associated with the officials being investigated.
Among those who were raided are Jyothi Mary, First Division
Assistant at the Department of Health and Family Welfare in Hassan; Dhoolappa,
Assistant Director of Agriculture in Kalaburagi; Chandra Kumar, Assistant
Director of Agriculture in Chitradurga; and Lakshminarayan P Nayak, Road
Transport Officer in Udupi.
The operation also included Manjunath G, a Medical Officer at Mallasandra Maternity Hospital in Bengaluru, and Jagdish Naik, Assistant Executive Engineer at the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL) in Davangere.
