Bharati Vishnuvardhan seeks land for late actor’s memorial
Actress Bharati Vishnuvardhan urged the Karnataka government to allot land at Abhiman Studios to build a memorial for her late husband, actor Vishnuvardhan.

MYSURU, 18 SEPT
Actress Bharati Vishnuvardhan on Thursday thanked the State government for announcing the Karnataka Ratna award for her late husband, actor Vishnuvardhan, on his 75th birthday.
Speaking at the actor's memorial in the City outskirts, Bharati said that if the State government allocates 10 guntas (0.25 acres) of land, they will build a memorial inside Abhiman studios.
Earlier in the day, Bharathia and her family offered pooja to the Vishnu Memorial near Udbur gate.
Many actors and fans arrived to pay tribute to the beloved actor. Members of the Fans Association served sweets to the people at the memorial.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, and Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly, R Ashoka, also paid tribute.
Siddaramaiah, in a post on X, said, “On the occasion of his birthday, I remember and pay my respects to his immense love and admiration for Kannada and Kannadigas.”
“Heartfelt tributes on the birthday of ‘Sahasasimha’ (the Lion of Valor), ‘Abhinaya Bhargava’ (the Sun of Acting), Dr Vishnuvardhan. Through his phenomenal acting, Vishnuvardhan lives on forever in the hearts of his fans,” Shivakumar said in a post on X.
