A woman was swept away and drowned due to flash floods in Gadag district on Tuesday. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in the Rona taluk when she was travelling on the second pillion seat of a bike with two others, and heavy rain pushed the bike into a pond.
The two men with her were able to escape and promptly informed the police.
