Kalaburagi govt school roof collapses, injures 3 students

Kalaburagi, 23 Aug
Three Class 8 students were injured after the roof of a government higher primary school collapsed during lunch break in Malkapalli village in Sedam taluk on Friday.
The three injured students, Akshata,
Kaveri, and Srinivas, all aged 13, were taken to the primary health center in
Kolakunda village for treatment.
The school has four classrooms and
approximately 250 students, ranging from Class 1 to Class 8, studied in the
school.
Gram Panchayat member Navadareddy Malkapalli
alleged that despite informing authorities about the old school roof’s
condition, no action was taken.
Field Education Officer Maruti Hujrathi,
after inspecting the classrooms she informed the principle to conduct the
future classes in a safer and convenient place.
