The Chikkaballapura District Police have launched “Namma Cop 24x7”, a dedicated WhatsApp chatbot app designed to bring police services to the doorsteps of the people of the district and make the department more people-friendly.  

The app aims to bring the department closer to citizens in a simple, quick, and reliable manner and will provide all the needy guidance and assistance to the people of the district by the click of a button on their mobile phones, said Kushak Chouske, Superintendent of Police, Chikkaballapura.  

He said the people who are in need of help or protection from the department can send in their request on the designated WhatsApp number of the department and can avail the needed facility.  

The new app will also provide guidance to the people in getting ambulance and fire services and will assist with legal modalities in case of falling prey to cyber criminals, he pointed out.  

The new facility will help the common man with legal awareness in simple terms and will provide information about passport verification, police verification and also help get the NOC from the department for availing Government or private jobs.  

The facility is available in four languages, including Kannada, English, Hindi and Telugu. It will work around the clock.
