A man allegedly flashed his private parts to a woman in Hunasagi taluk of Yadgir district. When confronted, he reportedly filed a false case against the woman and her parents. Following the incident, women protested outside Kodekal Police Station.
Shivappa
Uddan, 42, allegedly behaved obscenely by exposing his private parts to Savita
Mukhannavar, a widow from the same village. According to villagers, Shivappa
had been repeatedly harassing the widow over the past few days by exposing
himself near her house and whenever she was outside.
When
her parents confronted Shivappa, retaliated by filing a false complaint at the
Kodekal Police Station, claiming that they had assaulted him and issued death
threats. Outraged, Savita said, “Instead of filing our complaint, the police
registered a case against us.”
PSI
(Police Sub-Inspector) Ayyappa told SALAR NEWS, "Shivappa who lives next
to the complainant’s house, has been regularly harassing Savita during the
night, urinating on the common wall and hurling obscene abuse."
However,
women protested outside the station, demanding urgent action.
