DC orders inquiry against Hunsur BEO

MYSURU, 6 JULY
Deputy Commissioner
G Lakshmikanth Reddy has asked the deputy director of public instruction (DDPI)
to investigate allegations that the Hunsur block education officer (BEO) took
bribe from guest teacher aspirants for their appointment. The DC ordered this investigation after a
complaint by Hunsur MLA GD Harishgowda at the district development coordination
meeting held at the Zilla Parishad on Saturday. The DC has asked the DDPI to
submit a report within a week. The
Hunsur BEO is accused of taking Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 bribe from each guest
teacher for their renewal and appointment.
