CESC postpones installation of smart meters to 15 July
CESC Mysuru postpones mandatory smart meter installation for new power connections to 15 July. Consumers must buy meters at CESC-approved rates.

The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC), Mysuru postponed the installation of smart meters to all those seeking new electricity connections to 15 July. A decision was taken at the customer's meet organised to educate the public about smart meters held at General Manager of IT Wing CESC Ramaswamy’s office in Vijayanagar, on Saturday. Addressing the meeting, Ramaswamy announced the decision, postponing the instillation of smart meters from 1 July to 15 July. Consumers applying for new connections must purchase smart meters from authorised retail outlets at rates prescribed by CESC and complete the connection process accordingly. It is compulsory for new power consumers to install smart meters at their own cost.
