Farm labourer found dead in Mysuru

R Mukundan, 38, a Kerala farm worker, was found with his throat slit in HD Kote, Mysuru. He lived on leased farmland. Police suspect he was killed by friends during a drunken altercation.

MYSURU, 22 JUNE

A farm labourer was found dead with his throat slit in Bogeshwara colony in HD Kote in Mysuru district. The victim, R Mukundan, 38 was found dead on the night of 21 June.  Mukundan, hailing from Kerala, cultivated several types of crops in over 10 acres of land, which he had obtained from local farmers on lease for 10 years. He resided at a farmshed built on the land. A case was registered and the police were investigating the matter. They suspected him to have been murdered by his friends while he was in an inebriated condition at his farmshed.
