ASI killed in Dharwad bike accident

ASI Yallappa Kumbar died after a hit-and-run near Ittigatti, Dharwad. He was hit by an unknown vehicle while riding to Hubballi.

DHARWAD, 22 JUNE

Assistant Sub Inspector Yallappa Kumbar, attached to the District Reserve Force at Dharwad, died on the spot after an unknown vehicle hit his bike between Dharwad and Hubballi on Sunday. Kumbar was going towards Hubballi from Dharwad when his bike was hit on the bypass road near Ittigatti in Dharwad taluk. He sustained severe head injuries. The Dharwad Rural police have registered a case as hit-and-run and launched a hunt for the vehicle and its driver.
