India marks Yoga Day with Worldwide events

India will celebrate the 10th International Day of Yoga on 21 June with over 2,000 events in 191 countries. Led by ICCR, the theme is ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.

India is set to celebrate the 10th International Day of Yoga on 21 June, 2025 with over 2,000 events across 1,300 cities in 191 countries. Organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), the celebrations will showcase yoga’s global appeal and India’s cultural heritage.

A special event, ‘Yoga Bandhan’, will feature 17 yoga gurus from 15 countries leading sessions at iconic sites in Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi and more. The theme, ‘Yoga for OneEarth, One Health’, highlights the link between health, sustainability and the environment, reflecting India’s G20 vision.

The Indian High Commission in Pakistan will also hold a yoga event in Islamabad. ICCR Director General K Nandini Singla said yoga has become a global movement embraced by people worldwide, including politicians and officials.
