Assam gives aids to Pahalgam attack victim's from State
The state cabinet previously announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 5 lakh to each of the 26 victims' families affected by the tragic incident.

The Assam government has been actively providing
financial assistance to the families of victims of the Pahalgam terror attack,
which occurred on 22 April. On Sunday, a cabinet minister reached out to the
grieving family of victim Manjunath in Karnataka.
The state cabinet previously announced an ex gratia
payment of Rs 5 lakh to each of the 26 victims' families affected by the tragic
incident. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed solidarity with the
bereaved in an X post, stating, "As the family of Manjunath ji comes to
terms with the irreparable loss, we extend our collective support to them
during these difficult times."
In a similar post, Minister Bimal Borah conveyed the
government's position, stating, "The Assam government stands resolute with
all the victims of the dastardly #PahalgamTerroristAttack. Following the
directions of our Chief Minister, I visited the residence of late Manjunath Rao
in Shivamogga to present financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to his wife, Smt
Pallavi R."
Borah added that he interacted with the family members and offered sincere condolences on behalf of the Assam government. Since Friday, Assam cabinet ministers have been visiting bereaved families across the country to ensure they receive the promised financial aid during this challenging period.
