Six killed in road accident in Vijayapura
The accident took place on the national highway near Managuli village in Basavana Bagewadi taluk of Vijaypura.

VIJAYAPURA, 21 MAY
Six people, including five members of a
family from Telangana, were killed in a mishap involving a car, a private bus
and a truck Wednesday morning, police said. The accident took place on the
national highway near Managuli village in Basavana Bagewadi taluk of Vijayapura
district.

Bhaskaran, the manager of a Canara Bank branch at Gadaval in Telangana. Bhaskaran and his family were heading toward
Solhapur after visiting a few tourist places in Karnataka. The car in which the
family was travelling jumped the median and collided with the bus heading to
Ballari from Mumbai, and the bus rammed into a truck, police said.
The bus was heading toward Ballari from
Mumbai.
Police identified the victims as Bhaskaran,
his wife Pavitra, daughter Josthna, son Praveen Tej and bus driver Basavaraj
Rathod from Kalaghtagi Tanda.
Bhaskaran's 10-year-old son survived the accident and is undergoing treatment in a government hospital in Vijaypura.
