Amidst the ongoing power tussle in the Congress, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Friday, indicated that he will continue in his post.
Mocking the so-called ‘Chamarajanagar jinx,’ according to which a sitting CM
will lose power if s/he visits the town, Siddaramaiah told reporters, “I have
visited Chamarajanagar around 20 times and I am serving as the Chief Minister for
the second time”. The belief that visiting Chamarajanagar town leads to one losing
power is far from truth. Such superstitions are detrimental to a society's
progress, he stated.
Speaking to reporters atop the MM Hills, he
said he has told authorities to prepare quality laddus like those being
prepared in Tirupati, and sell them at Rs 35 per piece.
Earlier, the CM offered special puja to the silver chariot at MM Hills temple along with Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa.
