Mysuru, 21 April

MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Monday condemned the janivara (sacred thread) cutting incident in Shivamogga’s CET centre, stating his party firmly stands with the State Brahmin Mahasabha.

Blaming the Congress-led government for rising attacks on Hindus, he alleged that appeasement politics had emboldened such acts. He cited the case of student Partha S Rao, who was allegedly barred from writing CET exams after his Janivara was removed from a government college in Sagara.

Similar incidents were reported in Thirthahalli and Bidar. He demanded justice for Partha and warned of a statewide BJP agitation if such cases persist. The city BJP unit has filed a police complaint, urging action against those responsible.
