Gauribidanur, 3 April

In a display of prompt government service, Mahesh Patri, the Tehsildar of Gauribidanur, took swift action to assist an ailing man with urgent documentation. At around 1.30pm, Patri, returning to his office after a meeting with MLA Puttaswamy Gowda, noticed an elderly man lying near the office entrance. Upon inquiry, the man’s daughter explained that her father, who had undergone cancer surgery, needed an Aadhaar card, Caste, and Income Certificates to be admitted to Kidwai Memorial Hospital in Bengaluru.

Recognising the urgency, Patri immediately summoned the concerned staff and arranged for the Caste and Income certificates to be issued on the spot. The certificates were prepared within an hour, allowing the man to proceed with his medical treatment.

Patri explained that, as the man was unable to move around due to his illness, it was his duty to ensure the work was done quickly. The man, who had migrated from Andhra Pradesh and settled in Doddaparagodu village, was accompanied by his daughter and expressed his gratitude for the fast service.
