Mysuru, 14 MARCH

Agara Mamballi Police have arrested a man for allegedly carrying a homemade pistol for poaching in Kollegal taluk on Friday.  The accused has been identified as Mallikarjuna from Kunagalli. Acting on a tip-off, a team of police personnel led by PSI Karibasappa apprehended him near the Kabini canal while he was en route to the forest to hunt wildlife in Surapura, Kollegal taluk. Police have since remanded him to judicial custody, and a case has been registered by the Agara Mamballi police.
