KALABURAGI, 14 MARCH

In a startling incident in Jewargi, Kalaburagi district, farmer activist Mahesh Rathod stormed into the municipal office and assaulted Senior Health Inspector Rajashekharayya.  The altercation was reportedly provoked by the dismissal of municipal workers, leading to an eight-day protest led by Rathod. Frustrated by the lack of response from municipal authorities, he allegedly charged into the office, forcibly removed the officer, and attacked him. CCTV footage has captured the incident, showing Rajashekharayya being dragged out of the office. Municipal staff is now demanding Rathod's immediate arrest and legal action against him. A case has been filed at the Jewargi police station, and an investigation is currently ongoing.
