BIDAR, 10 MARCH
In a bid to assist the less fortunate in managing wedding costs, Kalyana Mantapas (wedding halls) are being established in 17 Gram Panchayats within the Bidar South Assembly Constituency, announced MLA Dr. Shailendra Beldale. At the inauguration of a newly built Kalyana Mantapa in Aurad (S) village, Bidar Taluk, on Sunday, Dr. Beldale revealed that the hall was constructed with a Rs 35 lakh grant from the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board. "I had pledged before the elections that each Panchayat would have a Kalyana Mantapa. In keeping with that promise, the construction of these facilities is underway. They will provide support to the poor, daily wage labourers, and their families for weddings, naming ceremonies, meetings, and other events," he stated. "My aim is to foster the development of villages in my constituency. I am actively visiting villages to hear public concerns and working to address their issues," he added.
