MYSURU, 28 FEB
A four-year-old
leopard walked straight into a cattle pen trap set up on the premises of the
Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), the RBI's
currency note printing press, in North Mysuru early on Friday.
After the big cat
was spotted on campus in Metagalli in the city, the forest department officials
placed a cattle pen and four cages at strategic locations on the premises.
After it received a
complaint from the BRBNMPL management 20 days ago, the department had deputed
more than 30 staffers, including a leopard task force, on the operation.
