A major fire engulfed a footwear store on Gauri Shankar Theatre Road in Attibele early Friday morning, resulting in extensive damage to the premises and goods. According to officials, the STR Footwear showroom was completely gutted, with footwear and accessories reduced to ashes. Locals who noticed the blaze attempted to douse the flames but were unable to contain the fire, which had spread rapidly throughout the store by the time fire brigade personnel arrived. Fire and emergency services, along with the jurisdictional police, are currently inspecting the site to assess the extent of the damage. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. A case has been registered at the Attibele police station, and an investigation is under way.
