BENGALURU, 25 JAN
In honour of Republic Day 2025, the Government of India
has announced medals for 21 police officers from Karnataka, recognising their
exceptional service and dedication. The officers were selected based on their
overall performance, achievements, and reputation at an all-India level.
Among the awardees are Deputy Inspector General of Police
(DIG), Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), Basavaraju Sharanappa Jille, and
Commandant of the 12th Battalion of KSRP, Hamja Hussain, who will receive the
President's Medal for Distinguished Services.
Additionally, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP)
Renuka K Sukumar and Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Dr Sanjeev M
Patil will be honoured with the Meritorious Service Medal for their outstanding
contributions to the police force.
The list also includes various Inspectors, Commandants,
and head constables from across different departments, all recognized for their
role in maintaining law and order, enhancing public safety, and ensuring the
well-being of citizens in the State.
The awards will be presented on Republic Day, as
part of the national celebrations, to honour their distinguished service and
boost the morale of the Karnataka police force.
