In a shocking incident, an eight-year-old girl, Tejaswini, a third-grade student at St Francis School in Chamarajanagar, tragically died of cardiac arrest on Monday.

Tejaswini, the daughter of Shruthi and Lingaraju from Badanaguppe village in the Chamarajanagar taluk, reportedly felt dizzy and lost her balance before collapsing in the school corridors while with her classmates.

Immediate action was taken by the school staff, who rushed her to JSS Hospital. Despite the hospital providing urgent medical treatment, the young girl could not be saved, and doctors pronounced her dead, attributing the cause to cardiac arrest.

In the wake of this tragic event, Block Education Officer Hanumanthashetty visited the school to gather information from both staff and students. He stated to reporters that the girl was 'normal' and had been attending school regularly before this sudden occurrence.

The Principal of the school, Fr Prabhakar, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of his student, reflecting the shock felt throughout the school community.  -SALAR NEWS
