Kannada actor Darshan, who has been granted interim bail by the Karnataka High Court in the murder of one of his fans from Chitradurga district, on Monday appeared before the Sessions Court in the State capital to complete bail formalities.

Darshan was accompanied by his wife Vijayalakshmi and fellow actor Dhanveer.

Darshan, who had been admitted to BGS Hospital in Kengeri with severe back pain for over six weeks, left the hospital on Monday following medical advice to sign the surety bond. No surgical procedure was performed on him during his hospital stay.

On 13 December, the High Court of Karnataka granted bail to all accused in the case, including Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda.

The actor was arrested on 11 June for allegedly killing Renukaswamy on 8 June after the latter allegedly sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda. —PTI
