Shivakumar questioned the JD(S) leader’s contributions to Channapatna when he was an MLA

Manglore, 2 Nov
Deputy
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has accused former Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy
of shedding "crocodile tears" during elections but disappearing when
people need him most. “Where was he when the people of Kanakapura were in
pain?" the KPCC President said in Mangaluru on Saturday.
Shivakumar
questioned the JD(S) leader’s contributions to Channapatna when he was an MLA.
“Despite being a people’s representative, he didn’t hoist State and national
flags. It was CP Yogeeshwara who addressed local issues, filling up tanks in
the taluk, while Kumaraswamy was busy with ‘adjustment politics’ with BJP.”
He said
Kumaraswamy’s family, including his wife, represented Channapatna but did
little for its progress. “Our government, meanwhile, has launched development
projects worth hundreds of crores, reaching over 22,000 citizens directly,”
Shivakumar said.
Byelection
to the Channapatna Assembly segment will be held on 13 November.
On Waqf
properties, Shivakumar dismissed BJP leader Basangouda Patil Yatnal’s comments,
labelling them as the remarks of a "mentally unstable" person, and
pledged to address any errors in handling Waqf property notices. -Salar News
