Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday said he would face all the allegations levelled by his political opponents, JD(S) and BJP, both politically and legally.

Siddaramaiah said he has already exposed scandals that occurred during the previous BJP and JD(S) government at ‘Janandolana’ rally held in Mysuru city on Friday.

People of the State know what BJP-JD(S) leaders like BY Vijayendra, BS Yediyurappa, HD Kumaraswamy and R Ashoka did during their governments, Siddaramaiah said here. The Congress government had ordered inquiry against frauds and corruption cases that occurred during BJP’s tenure.

The Chief Minister said his party held Janandolana to inform the people that the allegations levelled by BJP and JD(S) against him and his government are false.

About Opposition leaders' claim that they will continue their fight until the Chief Minister resigns, Siddaramaiah said, "Will I fear such things, will I bow down to such things? If they indulge in false propaganda. People will suppress their agitations that are with false allegations, on getting to know the truth."

Earlier, CM visited Chamundeshwari temple to have darshan of Goddess on account of Shravana Shanivara.

The week-long Bengaluru-Mysuru padayatra (foot march) by Opposition BJP and JD(S) seeking to highlight the alleged fraudulent allotment of sites to land losers by MUDA, including to Siddaramaiah's wife Parvathi, concluded in Mysuru on Saturday with a mega rally. Both parties have been demanding Siddarmaiah's resignation in connection with the scam.

The ruling Congress on Friday had hosted a ‘Janandolana’ convention in Mysuru, in support of Siddaramaiah and to counter the Opposition’s allegations and their foot march. Mysuru is also Siddaramaiah's home district. –Salar News & PTI
