Bengaluru, 31 July
Around 70 days after his
33-year-old son Renukaswamy was allegedly murdered by Kannada actor Darshan
Thogudeepa and his associates at a shed at Pattangere in Bengaluru, his father
Kashinatha Shivanagowda has renewed his appeal to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
to help his daughter-in-law Suhana get a government job.
Speaking to Salar News from Chitradurga on Wednesday, he said: “After the death
of my son, we had met the Chief Minister seeking a government job for Suhana
and he had assured us of his help. Till date, no government official has
reverted to us on our appeal. We are facing a dire financial crisis and my
pension is not even enough to run the house. Suhana is in the last trimester of
her pregnancy and we worried about her medical expenses. We met the Deputy
Commissioner of Chitradurga last week and again appealed for help and he
assured us that our request will be forwarded to the Chief Minister’s office.’’
“A large number of people from the Sandalwood industry and the film chamber
visited us after the death of our son and assured us of help but now not a soul
is standing by our side and we are in dire straits financially. We appeal to
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to sympathetically consider our plea and grant a
government job to Suhana at the earliest so that we can tide over our crisis
and give Suhana a new lease of life as she will now have a child and an
uncertain future ahead of her,’’ Shivanagowda said.
About media reports stating that actor Darshan would visit them once he is out
on bail and seek their apologies, Shivanagowda said: “What is left for us
anymore? He has brought our world crashing down taking away my only child.’’
Darshan was arrested by City police on 11 June for his alleged
involvement in the murder of his fan Renukaswamy. -Salar News
