BENGALURU, 26 JUNE
City police have issued a notice to
a woman Sub-Inspector for allowing jailed Kannada actor Darshan’s friend
Pavithra Gowda to apply make-up in police custody.
According to police officials, on
15 June, Pavithra was taken to her residence for recording details of the crime
scene in the City.
Taking time off during the searches
at her residence, Pavithra was seen applying lipstick and make-up and was all
smiles while climbing down the stairs at her residence along with police
personnel.
The incident triggered a debate on
social media about Pavithra not showing any guilt or remorse over the murder of
Darshan’s fan Renukaswamy.
A notice has been issued to the
woman sub inspector from the office of the DCP (West) and a clarification has
been sought.
Meanwhile, Pavithra’s mother and
daughter met her at Central Prison and it has been learnt that she broke down
during the visit. Jail officials have been asked to record the names, details
of the visitors who are coming over to meet Darshan and Pavithra.
It has also been learnt that the
police have passed an order to seize two US-made pistols possessed by Darshan.
Police have beefed up security in and around Parapppana Agrahara central prison
where a large number of fans of actor Darshan are making a beeline every day in
the hope of meeting him.
Darshan, Pavithra, and 15 others
have been arrested on charges of murdering 33-year-old Renukaswamy, a resident
of Chitradurga. -Salar News
