India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for several parts of the country, including Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and the Northeast on Thursday. Widespread light to moderate showers with thunderstorms and strong winds are expected across these regions.

Isolated areas within Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and the Northeast are at risk of extremely heavy rainfall, particularly Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. While some parts of North India will experience heatwave conditions, scattered rainfall with thunderstorms is also forecast for these regions over the next two days. The Southwest Monsoon is expected to bring relief from the scorching heat in parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh over the next three to four days. -Salar News
