Bengaluru, 6 May
Former corporator NR Ramesh alleged
that Radhakrishna Doddamani, the son-in-law of Congress President Mallikarjun
Kharge and Kalaburagi candidate, took over Rs 800 crore bribes to allocate
seats in Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College.
Ramesh released a 900-page document
over the allegations and filed complaints with Lokayukta and Crime
Investigation Department, seeking a probe. Ramesh's document accuses Doddamani,
along with HS Mahadeva Prasad, Murali Mohan, and Kuber Amanullah Khan of taking
bribes for seat allocation.
Ramesh accuses Khan, a close
associate of Doddamani and an employee at a medical college, of selling seats
to students who failed their Pre-University examinations (PU). It is alleged
that the six students have already been granted seats illegally.
It is further alleged that Khan has
been illicitly accepting money from affluent individuals across the state and
country, promising MBBS and BDS seats at the college.
However, IT-BT Minister, Priyank
Kharge denied the allegations. -Salar News
