IMD warns of scorching temp in K’taka
IMD forecasts light rainfall in several districts from 30 April to 3 May, offering potential relief from the scorching temperatures in Bengaluru Urban, Vijayapura, and Hassan

As rainfall diminishes across Karnataka, dry weather becomes
the norm in most regions of the State.
According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), regions including
Raichur, Yadgir, Kalaburagi, and Vijayapura are set to experience scorching
heat between 27 and 30 April, with temperatures soaring to alarming levels.
However, IMD forecasts light rainfall in several districts
from 30 April to 3 May, offering potential relief from the scorching
temperatures in Bengaluru Urban, Vijayapura, and Hassan.
IMD’s predicts thundershowers in Belagavi and Chamarajanagar
on Friday.
In Bengaluru, multiple weather models converge on the possibility of rain
showers gracing the City and its surrounding areas in early May.
A Prasad, a scientist at IMD, stated “While temperatures may
continue to rise during the day, there is a likelihood of significant rainfall
in the afternoons and evenings from the second week of May over interior parts
of Tamil Nadu, Western Ghats, and interior parts of Karnataka.”
Karnataka residents are urged to take necessary precautions
to safeguard against the adverse effects of extreme heat. Salar News
