BENGALURU, 20 APRIL
Telangana Chief
Minister Revanth Reddy has embarked on an assertive campaign trail in
Karnataka, amplifying the Congress party’s narrative and championing its legacy
in the IT sector. His strategic foray into Bengaluru underscores the State’s
significance in the political arena.
Reddy wasted no
time upon his arrival in Bengaluru, immediately immersing himself in the
electoral fray. Addressing a crowd here, he highlighted the BJP’s alliance with
JD(S), juxtaposing it with their earlier stance on corruption allegations.
“They just think about winning, they don’t bother about developing Karnataka,”
Reddy said.
The Chief
Minister’s itinerary was meticulously crafted, blending vibrant roadshows with
compelling public meetings. His engagements culminated in spirited corner
meetings, showcasing his commitment to grassroots outreach.
Throughout his
addresses, Reddy underscored Bengaluru’s status as the IT capital, attributing
its development to Congress’ progressive policies. He urged voters to endorse
the Congress, citing its pivotal role in fostering the IT revolution. “We have
Mansoor standing for Bengaluru Central, and I’m sure he will also keep his
promises,” Reddy said.
Not shying away
from targeting the BJP, Reddy criticised their stance on dynasty politics,
drawing comparisons with Maharashtra. He emphasised the BJP’s selective
accusations against the Gandhi family while highlighting their contributions
and sacrifices. “Gandhi family is working for development. Siddaramaiah, DK,
Kharge and Mansoor are working for the people and Modi family is ED, CBI, ADANI
and Ambani, used to oppress people,” Reddy said.
Reddy said, “Karnataka Congress kept its promises,”
urging voters to decide between those who deliver and those who merely seek
power. As the electoral momentum builds, his rallying cry resonates with
voters, setting the stage for a fiercely contested electoral landscape in
Karnataka.
With the Lok Sabha
elections looming, Reddy’s vigorous campaigning reflects the Congress party’s
determination to reclaim political ground. His emphasis on developmental legacy
and challenges to the BJP’s narrative signal a keenly contested electoral battle.
