State launches automated building plan approval software

Karnataka government on Monday launched “Nambike Nakshe, Trust and Verify System”, a software to issue automated building plan approval for residential buildings up to four units on plots up to 50x80ft.

 

It was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar as a part of the Brand Bengaluru initiative.

 

The software will bring convenience to those building houses as they do not have to frequently visit the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) office. The automated process will reduce government officials' interference with and possible corruption.

 

To get permission for property construction, applicants must upload the property documents and building plans through a BBMP registered Engineer/Architect visiting the BBMP website link: https://bpas.bbmpgov.in/BPAMSClient4/Default.aspx?TAV-1.

 

The registered Engineer or Architect will have to carry out the plot inspection and upload the plot The registered Engineer/Architect will inspect the plot and upload the required documents. The application will then be sent to the Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre (KSRAC) electronically for further processing. The software will scrutinize the plans as per the building bylaws and generate a fee payment challan. Once the fee is paid, the Provisional Building license and Plan in PDF format will be sent to the Engineer/Architect. Applicants have a maximum of 45 days to pay the fee online.
