Modi to lay foundation stone for 12 rly stations in Mysuru
This is part of the project to launch 525 railway stations and 1,500 over-bridges and under-bridges

MYSURU, 25 FEB
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will
lay the foundation stone for 12 railway stations in Mysuru on Monday via video
conference at 12.30 pm on 26 February.
Divisional Railway Manager Shilpi
Agarwal announced in a press conference that the event will mark the foundation
laying ceremony for 12 overbridges and underbridges in South Western Railway
Mysuru Division. This is part of the project to launch 525 railway stations and
1,500 over-bridges and under-bridges.
Rs 367.86 crore has been allocated
for all the projects. Agarwal emphasised that modern facilities will be
introduced, including improvements to station entrances, toilet facilities,
lift and escalator systems, cleanliness measures, and the provision of free
Wi-Fi.
Efforts will also focus on
promoting local products through initiatives like "one stop one
product". Facilities such as ramps for the disabled and non-gravel tracks
will be integrated.
Moreover, eight railway
underbridges and four road overbridges, constructed at a cost of Rs 63.94
crore, will be inaugurated during the event. Furthermore, the foundation stone
laying for a flyover on Bajakere Road between Subrahmanya Road-Yademangala, with
an estimated cost of Rs 6.30 crore, will be completed.
